i have 2 female rats, and i think if i did have a male, i would breed them. i also have to say that i would only breed them once and then put them (the males and females) in separate cages. if YOU plan to breed yours, then this website will help a LOT. (: good luck!

I wouldn't , anyone can breed rats but to do it well you need to invest quite a bit of money and time. Different cages possibly vets bills. Advertising for rehoming etc. It's not just a case of putting a male and female together and letting them get on with it.
Well it all depends on what you are gonna do with all the babies that you will have. And if you do find someone that will buy the babies from you will they give you enough so that you will make a profit from it. I personally wouldn't do it. I would just keep them as pets instead of breeders. Good Luck
People generally breed animals that are valuable. (i.e. purebred dogs and cats.) There's not much sense in taking the time to breed rodents that have little or no value unless you simply want more of them for yourself.
I wouldn't breed my pet rat, i think its too high risk for me, i might lose my pet :( .. and ive heard story's of mums eating the babies, and i wouldn't be able to cope with that.
Well they cost like 1 cent and you will have about 5 million rats. I would say it's not worth it.
