i have some baby rats very nice and cute i want to sell them.but how much should they cost? How much should rats cost.?
Rats usually cost about $10. Professional breeders usually charge 20-25 dollars for babies, but since you don't sound like a professional, I'd stick with the 10 dollars. Why are you getting rid of them? Keep in mind that some people might want to buy them to feed them to snakes and whatnot, or they might not be responsible owners. Make sure you do some basic screening and that you charge enough to avoid these people.
Hope that helps!
EDIT: That crap about small, medium, and large rats that some chain pet stores use is just based off a rat's age and not by their genetic size. If you were selling humans it would be the same as saying small = baby, medium = 12 year old, and large = 20 year old. If anything, the pricing should be reversed, charging more for babies (need to be 6 weeks old before adopting them out), and less for more fully grown ones. How much should rats cost.?
What size will they be? because large rats are around 15, medium 10 and small 5. so whatev size your mom and dad will be should be around the same size the babys will be
c- haha i didn't know that. thanks you taught me something new today. hmm looks like i cant use but they'll stay that size on my mom anymore lol
If they are not pedigreed and you want to sell them for pets, you should price them $5-10. Feeder rats are usually around $3 when they're young, Petsmart/other chains usually sell them for about $8-15, Pedigreed rats typically around $20 depending on the breeder.
wow-you can go to the pet store ad get them as youngsters for like $3 or $4!!! Depends where you live really. Good luck, they're pretty cool pets. Be careful about what you feed them. Their life expectancy isn't really that high.

you can buy them for 2.00 at the max so sell at 1.50
Medium sized rats at Petco only cost $3 each, so I'd say about $6-8.
most rats are 7 to 8 dollars but since you are not a petstore but a person probally about 10 dollars...i want one!
We sell hand raised rats at the pet store i work at for $10.99 each.
