How young do rats reproduce?

Technically, they can get pregnant as young as early as 4.5 weeks.

5-6 weeks is typical, but it's better to play it safe and separate the males from the females at 4.5 weeks.

However, it isn't really good for the female to breed until she is fully grown, which is around 4 months old.
