Ew, they can have diseases. Where do you get them from anyway? Don't they bite you? Don't they smell? So I'll ask, why do people keep rats?
because they are easy to care for. rats are bred in pet stores so the ones most people own are well kept so no diseases, and if you clean them they won't smell. as for the biting i don't own one but i doubt they would keep something that bit them.
