i have a cat and my gramma says my cat is gonna eat the rat if i get one, but shes really fat! should i get one? how can i convince my parents?How can i convince my parents to get me some rats?:)?
Lab/pet store rats are clean and disease free (thats why they use them in labs!). Rats are really smart too. Do a little internet surfing until you know more about rats than everybody. Once in a while (no more than once every two days), tell your parents an interesting fact about rats. Quit asking for one. Just do the research and drop little known rat facts now and then.
The most important thing to remember is don't badger them about it. Don't ask anymore. Next time you're near a pet store, ask to stop in and look at the ANIMALS. While you're there, if you see a rat you really like, make your move!
But if you get one, be sure to make the rat cage cat proof. Good luck!
