OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I KNOW!!!!! I LOVE RATS, AND MICE!!! THEY R ADORABLE!!! if i saw a rat in my house yea i will set a trap but to keep it as a pet!!! and i hate when ppl put those poisons for them!!!!! those little meanies!!! and those traps that grab them and kill em omg im about to cry just thinking about!!! well anywayz rats r adorable, just like any animal (and bugs , yea theyre cute too) in the world!!!!!!Why are people scared of the look of rats and mice,i think they look quite cute?
It is not the look,but the speed and way of movement.Because they can move faster than your reactions,it unsettles people and they become uncertain of the rodents next move.
If they moved slower (they would be easier to kill) but humans would fall in love with their cute faces
Too many people associate them with sewer rats and unclean animals that spread disease (like bubonic plague). I pet sat a lady's rat once and it turned out to be a pretty cool pet, he was very clean and tame.
I think it's in our human nature's automatic reaction reflex system to scream at anything that bites, scratches etc.
If rats were clean maybe people wouldn't scream so much.

mice im ok with and the rats you can get from pet stores, but the ones that are the size of a small dog not so much
