well if you can take care of them then go for it!
if your a kid, then be very responsible and do extra things around the house to help your parents. that might help convince them to let u get rats.
if your an adult, then just make sure u can afford them

if u want one u should get one but u have to really take care of them and make sure u dont have any yonger siblings it is a bad idea to have then together and if u do get a ret u shound not get 1 but 2 or more cause thay live longer with a pack! hope i could help
yeah just look around your house and place some cheese on the rat traps and you might see one in the morning half dead for free :)
if you want a rat maybe then you will get a rat
