I need it for a paper and would love some answers. thanksWhats was the rats purpose in the 1300's?
They didn't have a 'purpose'. No species exists for a purpose; they exist because they can.
Rats would have been extremely successful as a species in the 1300s, more so even than today because hygiene would have been poor, allowing them plenty of food and places to live. This is why the plague spread so much; fleas carried it from rats to humans because people did not know how to contain their own waste and keep their houses and streets clean and therefore discourage rats.
ChaliceWhats was the rats purpose in the 1300's?
I dont beleive that rats had a purpose in the 1300's. I think people feared them because they brought diseases and ruined crops, etc.
Carrying fleas so that people got the plague.
