Do rats make good pets?

I've wanted a rats for about 2 yrs now. I've done research and have read tones of books. One problem my mom hates rodants, so how do i convince her that they are good pets? Another problem what breed to get and do i have to get two?Do rats make good pets?
I had a few pet rats, only one at a time so I don't think you have to have 2. They were each wonderful pets! Very smart, very clean.Do rats make good pets?
Rats make awsome pets. my friend had some and they were really fun. :]
Maybe learning to spell would convince her to let you have pets.





Yes you have to get two. A single rat is much more likely to die young because they usually mope around most of the day when they are alone and their immune systems won't be very strong if all they do is sleep or act lethargic.





Any breed, they are all the same animal. Dumbos and standards can be together, any coat type can be together. If you get a hairless be sure to get a furry rat for the second so the hairless can stay warm. Just be sure they are both the same gender.
i had mice but not rats.
