This may be really weird but try putting 2 bounce dryer sheets in the engine compartment away from hot parts like the engine. also under your dashboard. Trust me it works.Rats have been chewing up the electric/cables in my just out of warranty car.what do i do?

Wrap the places where they chewed at with electrical tape.....wrap each wire separately and securely. Invest in some mouse / rat poison....something like D-Con......which can be purchased at Wal-Mart. They come in like 4 small boxes of poison to a purchase....open it up and just place it under your car. Keep this away from children and animals....cause it'll harm them too. Best of luck to you........
inside or outside?? moth-balls, small as they must be, seem to be effective for this malady. on the top of the engine and in the interior if necessary. if you use them in the interior, don't use your car for a date....you'll be sorry.
ya need a bucket of rat poison.
