Litter training rats question?

I'm not 100% sure if I'm getting rats, but I think if I can tell my mom about litter training, it will help her be more postive toward the idea.





I was thinking I could use a container that my rat could fit in with just a different bedding then the rest of their cage for a set up. After I get then, I will start moving their bathroom waste to the container to show them where to go. Is this a good idea?Litter training rats question?
You can try to litter train them, but it might not work. It takes time and you should place the litter box where they go to the bathroom at the most. You should definitely try it and if it works you will not have to change the cage as much.
